The brothers duo of M&M are a force to be reckoned with. Older brother Marc Lipp, born 1962 in North Babylon, New York was always drawn to art from a young age. He started experimenting with drawing and painting and he learned how to do airbrushing to make extra money as a teenager. He furthered his art education when he attended college at Pratt Institute of Art & Design in Brooklyn, NY. Learning all forms of art during his studies, he was still drawn to his roots as an airbrush artist. He started working at street events and then moved up to the Jersey Shore and in Wildwood, NJ. He learned how to do custom artwork and graphics on Bikes, Choppers, Autos, and then moved into large scale Murals.
When the jobs kept coming, Marc enlisted the help of his younger brother Matt Lipp and mentored him and taught him all the secrets he had learned as an airbrush artist. Matt developed an incredible ability to draw, a real natural talent. He wasn’t sure what to do with this ability, and underwent more training and worked very hard teaching himself and studying whatever he could. He not only learned how to airbrush, he mastered it.
In 2004, Marc and his brother Matt decided to trade in the bright lights of New York for the sunny life of South Florida to pursue their dream of becoming artists. Combining their love of art and creative skills, they have created a series of Painted and lacquered Bronze Dog Sculptures. This is just the start of their new endeavor and the sky is the limit for this family duo.
Marc says, “ART, has always been the main element in my life and when I take on a project, my goal is to give the client a product that is what he wanted as if he was able to paint it himself.”
